A creamy, no-bake cake layered with graham crackers, pineapple, nuts, and jello, perfect for parties and gatherings; rich, flavorful, and easy to prepare ahead of time.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or oleo
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup nut meats
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple
  • 3 Tbsp cream
  • 24 to 30 graham crackers
  • 2 boxes red jello

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar together.
  2. Beat egg yolks slightly and add crushed pineapple, nut meats, and cream; mix well.
  3. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
  4. Cover the bottom of a loaf pan with graham crackers.
  5. Spread the pineapple mixture over the graham crackers.
  6. Dissolve the red jello in water according to box instructions and add 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  7. When the jello is nearly set, pour it over the mixture in the pan.
  8. Refrigerate until the jello is fully set.
  9. Cut into squares the size of the graham crackers.
  10. Top each serving with whipped cream.
