Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 loaves French bread, cut diagonally
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry onion
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • garlic to taste

Instructions

  1. Simmer the butter, chili sauce, dry onion, and brown sugar until thick; then cool in the refrigerator.
  2. Spread the cooled sauce thickly on the cut sides of the French bread loaves.
  3. Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese.
  4. Wrap each loaf in aluminum foil and heat in a warm oven until hot.
