- Brown ground beef or turkey in a skillet and drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onions and brown sugar; cook for about 2 minutes.
- Stir in barbecue sauce and heat through; remove from heat and set aside.
- Open biscuits and flatten each with your hand.
- Spray a muffin pan with non-stick spray and place one biscuit in each cup, pressing gently to form a cup.
- Fill each biscuit cup with the meat mixture.
- Bake at 350° to 400° Fahrenheit until biscuits are golden and cooked through.
- Remove from oven and top each with shredded Cheddar cheese.
- Return to oven on broil until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Use a knife to carefully remove each pocket from the pan.
