Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef, salt, and pepper; form into 8 patties.
  2. Brown the patties in a skillet, using shortening if needed; pour off excess fat.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients to make the sauce.
  4. Pour the sauce over the browned burgers.
  5. Simmer for 20 minutes or until the burgers are cooked through.
  6. Stir the mixture now and then during simmering.
