Juicy, flavorful barbecued turkey breast infused with vinegar and herbs, slow-cooked to tender perfection, ideal for gatherings or hearty family meals served on buns or as main dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 (6-7 lb.) turkey breast
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1/4 cup black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons parsley
  • roasting bag

Instructions

  1. Toss the roasting bag with 1 tablespoon of flour and shake to coat.
  2. Place the turkey breast in the bag and pierce the bag with a fork.
  3. Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over the turkey in the bag.
  4. Seal the bag securely.
  5. Bake the turkey at 300°F for 4 to 5 hours.
  6. Remove the bones from the cooked turkey.
  7. Shred the meat and add it to the juices remaining in the bag.
  8. Serve the shredded turkey on buns or as desired.
