Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups tomato juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 3 peeled cloves
  • garlic, cut in pieces
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Add tomato juice, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, prepared mustard, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaf, sugar, cider vinegar, peeled cloves, garlic pieces, and butter to a saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and discard the bay leaf.
  4. Use immediately or store in an airtight container.
