- Sprinkle the bass fillets with salt and pepper.
- Pour the milk into a shallow dish.
- Dip each fish fillet into the milk, then roll in the flour to coat.
- Shake off excess flour from the fish.
- Heat peanut or vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the coated fillets until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the fish and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add chopped garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Squeeze lemon juice into the skillet and stir.
- Add lemon slices and cook for another minute.
- Return the fish to the skillet to coat with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
