Instructions
- Soak 3 teaspoons of Knox gelatine in 1/4 cup of milk for 5 minutes.
- Heat 1 cup of milk in a double boiler until warm.
- Add the soaked gelatine mixture to the heated milk and stir until dissolved.
- Stir in 2 egg yolks, 1 cup sugar, a dash of salt, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Cook the mixture until it thickens, then remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Once cooled, fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and whipped cream.
- Pour the filling into a graham cracker crust and top with grated sweet chocolate.
- Refrigerate until set, about 2-3 hours.
