Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 lb. hamburger
  • 3/4 lb. bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 can (15 oz.) pork and beans
  • 1 can butter beans
  • 1 can (15 oz.) red kidney beans

Instructions

  1. Brown the chopped bacon and hamburger in a skillet.
  2. Add chopped onion to the meat and bacon mixture and cook until softened.
  3. Mix together brown sugar, white sugar, barbecue sauce, mustard, molasses, salt, catsup, and chili powder.
  4. Drain and rinse the kidney beans; drain the butter beans.
  5. Add the drained butter beans and pork and beans to the meat mixture.
  6. Combine all ingredients thoroughly and cook in a crock-pot or roaster until heated through.
