Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. dried onions
  • 4 oz. tomato sauce
  • 4 oz. tomato juice
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
  • 4 c. shredded cabbage

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain off excess fat.
  2. Add dried onions, tomato sauce, tomato juice, cinnamon, and ground cloves to the beef.
  3. Place a layer of shredded cabbage in a 2-quart casserole dish.
  4. Pour the meat mixture over the cabbage layer.
  5. Repeat the layering process if necessary, then cover the casserole.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes until cooked through and flavors meld.
