Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean round steak
  • 2 green peppers, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch strips
  • 1 c. beef bouillon
  • 1/4 c. lite soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into thin slices.
  2. Place half of the steak in the crock-pot.
  3. Arrange the green peppers on top of the steak.
  4. Place the remaining steak on top of the peppers.
  5. Add sliced fresh mushrooms if desired.
  6. Mix the beef bouillon, soy sauce, ground ginger, and garlic powder, then pour over the meat and vegetables.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  8. During the last hour of cooking, thicken the stock if desired.
  9. Serve over a bed of hot rice.
