Beef Brown Rice

A hearty baked dish combining seasoned ground beef, rice, and cheese, perfect for comforting family dinners and flavorful weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 cans beef consomme
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. rice (uncooked)
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with butter or Pam.
  2. Sprinkle the uncooked rice evenly over the bottom of the dish.
  3. Slowly pour in the beef consomme and water over the rice.
  4. Sprinkle chopped large onion over the rice and liquid mixture.
  5. Add the browned and drained ground beef on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese over the top.
  8. Serve while hot.
