Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. warm beef broth
  • 1 cube beef bouillon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sauté onion in butter in a saucepan until tender.
  2. Stir in flour and cook over low heat for a minute or 2.
  3. Add warm beef broth slowly while quickly stirring.
  4. Cook until the gravy starts to boil and thickens.
  5. Reduce to low and simmer for about 5 minutes to cook out the flour flavor.
  6. Taste and add any salt or pepper as needed.
