Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • minced onion
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz.) tomato soup (undiluted)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 4 oz. medium egg noodles
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • 1 cup grated American or Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with minced onion; drain excess fat.
  2. Add undiluted tomato soup, water, and uncooked egg noodles; blend well.
  3. Cover the casserole and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add salt, pepper, and half of the grated cheese; blend well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole dish.
  6. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 45 minutes or until heated through.
