- Bring the broth to a boil in a medium saucepan.
- Boil until reduced by one third volume, approximately 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water.
- Gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the hot broth, stirring constantly.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for 5 minutes or until thickened.
- Add the dry thyme and black pepper.
- Stir to mix and serve.
