Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium green pepper
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • chili powder
  • rice

Instructions

  1. Cube the round steak and brown in oil or butter.
  2. Add chopped onion and green pepper to the meat.
  3. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Cover all with tomato sauce and add chili powder to taste.
  5. Simmer covered for 20 to 30 minutes.
  6. Prepare rice while the meat mixture is simmering.
  7. Serve the meat mixture over the cooked rice.
