Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cups mashed potatoes or instant
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet and sauté ground beef and chopped onion until the onion is transparent. Stir in salt and black pepper.
  3. Place the meat mixture in a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
  4. Spread mashed potatoes on top of the meat mixture.
  5. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the mashed potatoes.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
