Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. sirloin steak
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can mushroom soup
  • 2 Tbsp. catsup
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream

Instructions

  1. Combine butter, chopped onion, and minced garlic in a 1-quart microwave casserole.
  2. Cover and cook on high power for 2 to 3.5 minutes until the onion is tender.
  3. Trim excess fat from the sirloin steak.
  4. Cut the meat into thin, bite-sized strips.
  5. Add the meat to the casserole with the onion mixture.
  6. Cover and cook on high power for 3 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  7. Continue cooking on microwave level 3 for 10 to 13 minutes or until the meat is cooked through.
  8. Stir in drained mushroom soup and ketchup.
  9. Remove from microwave and fold in sour cream.
  10. Heat briefly if necessary and serve hot.
