Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium garlic
  • 16 oz. chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup raw rice
  • 3 Tbsp. A.1. sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. diced green pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup sliced celery

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic; cook until fragrant.
  3. Drain tomatoes into a 1-quart measuring cup.
  4. Chop tomatoes and add to the tomato liquid.
  5. Add water to the tomato mixture to make 2 1/4 cups of liquid.
  6. Combine tomato mixture, rice, A.1. sauce, green pepper, salt, and sliced celery in the skillet.
  7. Cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes or until rice is tender.
