Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10 3/4 oz.)
  • 1 can tomato soup (10 3/4 oz.)
  • 1 can water
  • 1/2 lb medium Cheddar cheese, grated
  • enough cheese for topping
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and minced garlic.
  2. Add the cream of mushroom soup, tomato soup, and one can of water to the meat mixture.
  3. Let simmer for 1 hour.
  4. Add grated Cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and MSG; stir until the cheese is melted.
  5. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  6. Drain well and add to the meat mixture.
  7. Pour into a greased 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole and top with additional cheese.
  8. Bake at 350°F until very hot and bubbly.
