- Place sauerkraut in a Dutch oven.
- Add beer to cover the sauerkraut.
- Add garlic salt, onion, seasonings, and V-8 juice.
- Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
- Melt butter in a small skillet.
- Stir in flour and brown well.
- Add 1 cup of juice from the sauerkraut.
- Stir and cook until thickened.
- Stir the thickened mixture back into the sauerkraut.
- Add the kolbasi sausages.
- Simmer covered for an additional 1.5 to 2 hours.
