Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. mace
  • 5 to 6 Tbsp. dry sherry
  • 1 c. coarsely grated or chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Mix grated Monterey Jack cheese, grated sharp Cheddar cheese, and softened butter thoroughly in a bowl.
  2. Stir in cayenne pepper, mace, and dry sherry until well combined.
  3. Add coarsely grated or chopped walnuts to the mixture.
  4. Refrigerate the spread until chilled, then let it warm to room temperature before serving.
