Ingredients

  • 1 lb. can tiny whole beets, drained and juice saved
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • salt to taste
  • 1 lb. can chunk pineapple, drained and juice saved
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the saved juices in a small saucepan with cornstarch, sugar, and vinegar.
  2. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens.
  3. Add salt, pepper, beets, pineapple, and margarine to the saucepan.
  4. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve hot or cold as desired.
