Ingredients

  • 3 lb. frying chicken pieces
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger root
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seed, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel

Instructions

  1. Rinse chicken pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Place chicken in a large plastic bag.
  3. Combine teriyaki sauce, dry sherry, minced fresh ginger, crushed fennel seed, grated orange peel, and honey; pour over chicken in the bag.
  4. Press air out of the bag and tie the top securely.
  5. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight, turning the bag occasionally.
