Ingredients

  • 6 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine
  • kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
  • dash of dry mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. ice water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Shred the cheddar cheese in a food processor.
  3. Add flour, caraway seed, ground red pepper, salt, dry mustard, and butter to the processor.
  4. Process until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. With the processor running, add ice water.
  6. Process until the dough forms a ball.
