Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced cooking apples
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Place sliced apples in a 9 x 9-inch baking pan.
  2. Cut butter into the flour, oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon to make coarse crumbs.
  3. Sprinkle the streusel mixture over the apples.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes, or until done.
  5. Serve warm.
  6. If using tart apples, sprinkle a little sugar before adding the streusel.
