- Boil the potatoes with skins on for approximately 25 minutes, then cool and refrigerate overnight.
- Butter a casserole dish.
- Scrape off the skins from the potatoes and grate them on a medium food grater.
- Layer in the casserole: grated potatoes, onion salt, salt, pepper, grated cheese, and dot with butter.
- Repeat the layering for a second layer.
- Pour the coffee cream over the top, sprinkle with grated cheese and paprika.
- Cover and bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
