Ingredients

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 c. margarine
  • 2 2/3 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream together brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and margarine.
  2. Mix dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, and salt) and add to the creamed mixture; add vanilla.
  3. If desired, add 1/2 cup nuts and 1/2 to 3/4 cup chocolate chips.
  4. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
