Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In one bowl, combine peeled, cored, and sliced apples, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  3. In a second bowl, mix flour, milk, eggs, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  4. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a 9-inch pie plate.
  5. Pour the flour mixture into the pie plate, then place the apple mixture in the center.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes until puffed and golden.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy the pleasant surprise when you open the oven.
