Bierocks
Bierocks are savory stuffed bread pockets filled with seasoned ground beef and cabbage, offering a hearty, comforting flavor. Perfect for family dinners or potlucks, they combine tender dough with flavorful filling, baked to golden perfection and brushed with butter for an irresistible finish.

- Divide the thawed bread dough into 6 balls and set aside.
- Heat bacon drippings in a skillet over medium heat; add diced onions and cook until tender.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
- Stir in shredded cabbage and season with m.s.g., salt, and pepper. Cover and steam until the cabbage is wilted.
- Let the filling cool slightly before using.
- Roll and stretch each dough ball into a 5-inch square.
- Place the cooled filling in the center of each square.
- Bring opposite edges of the dough together and seal to enclose the filling.
- Place the sealed side down on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.
- Brush the tops of the baked bierocks with melted butter.
- Optionally, use a 20-ounce can of sauerkraut instead of cabbage.
