- Brown the hamburger meat and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add shredded cabbage, allspice, salt, and pepper to the skillet and cook until the cabbage is tender.
- Separate the crescent rolls into 4 rectangles and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Press the middle perforation of each rectangle together to seal.
- Spoon 1/2 cup of the meat mixture onto one half of each dough rectangle.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the meat mixture if desired.
- Fold the dough over the filling, covering it completely, and seal the edges.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12 to 18 minutes until golden brown.
