Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 5 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt well.
  2. Add butter and mix until combined.
  3. Pour in buttermilk and mix until just combined.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface.
  5. Roll out dough to 3/4-inch thickness.
  6. Cut into 2-inch rounds.
  7. Bake at 450°F for 12 to 14 minutes.
