Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup chopped black walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream butter; add sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; blend in along with sour cream.
  3. Stir in chopped black walnuts.
  4. Chill the dough.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto buttered cookie sheets.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
  7. Can be iced with chocolate buttercream icing.
