Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. fresh or frozen blackberries or raspberries
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. chopped black walnuts

Instructions

  1. Stir dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Mix blackberries with eggs and vegetable oil until well combined.
  3. Add the berry mixture to the dry ingredients and stir just until the flour is moistened.
  4. Fold in chopped black walnuts.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 50 to 60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
