Ingredients

  • 1 c. warm water
  • 4 tsp. fast active dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 1 c. rolled oats
  • 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. wheat germ
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 4 Tbsp. sourwood honey
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. dried apricots
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 4 1/2 c. Pillsbury bread flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • sesame seed
  • melted butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Snip apricots; put in a bowl with honey.
  2. Stir; let set.
  3. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water; stir until dissolved.
  4. Add salt, sugar, and baking powder; stir to dissolve.
  5. Add buttermilk, rolled oats, and wheat germ; mix well.
  6. Let set 10 minutes.
