Ingredients

  • 12 slices white bread (no crusts)
  • 6 hot dogs, cut in half
  • 6 slices cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

Instructions

  1. About 2 1/2 hours before serving, in a greased 13 x 9 x 3-inch baking dish, place 6 slices of bread.
  2. Cover with hot dogs and cheese.
  3. Top with the remaining bread slices.
  4. Pour the beaten eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and dry mustard mixture over the assembled layers.
  5. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  7. Bake the franks for 1 hour before serving.
