Ingredients

  • 24 medium tomatoes
  • 1 ripe sweet red pepper
  • 1 sweet green pepper
  • 2 onions
  • 1 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon whole allspice
  • 3/4 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 3/4 teaspoon broken stick cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Quarter the tomatoes and remove stem ends.
  2. Add the peppers (seeded and cut in strips) and onions (peeled and quartered) to the blender.
  3. Mix the vegetables together.
  4. Put the blended vegetables into a blender jar, filling it three-quarters full.
  5. Blend at high speed for 4 seconds, then pour into a large kettle.
  6. Repeat blending and pouring until all vegetables are processed.
