Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans
  • 1 (15 oz.) can black beans
  • 1 (15 oz.) can white beans
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 oz.) can water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef, garlic salt, and chopped onions in a skillet.
  2. Drain excess fat from the meat mixture.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients to the skillet.
  4. Mix everything well.
  5. Cover and cook on low heat for 4 to 5.5 hours.
  6. Serve hot with corn chips or cornbread.
