Ingredients

  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Spread the undrained crushed pineapple evenly over the bottom of the pan.
  3. Add a layer of blueberries on top of the pineapple.
  4. Sprinkle 3/4 cup of sugar over the blueberries.
  5. Spread the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit layers.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar over the nuts.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and cut down to the bottom of the pan to let the juice rise.
  10. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving.
