Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. bacon
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 c. milk
  • 4 to 5 potatoes, cubed
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 can cream-style corn
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut bacon into 1/2-inch pieces and fry until crisp.
  2. Remove bacon and save 2 to 3 tablespoons of bacon grease.
  3. Add diced onion and chopped celery to the bacon grease and cook until tender.
  4. Blend in flour and bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Remove from heat and add milk, stirring well.
  6. Add cooked bacon, cubed potatoes, and cream-style corn to the mixture.
  7. Cook until potatoes are tender and flavors meld.
