Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb margarine
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 3 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix the margarine, white sugar, cocoa, and evaporated milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly for 1 minute.
  2. While hot, add the peanut butter, quick cooking oats, and vanilla. Stir until well blended.
  3. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper to cool and set.
  4. Allow to cool completely before serving.
