Ingredients

  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. All-Bran cereal
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 4 eggs
  • 5 c. flour
  • 5 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. bran flakes

Instructions

  1. Combine 2 cups boiling water over All-Bran cereal.
  2. Let cool. Cream shortening and sugar together.
  3. Add eggs and mix well.
  4. Add the wet and dry ingredients alternately to the mixture.
  5. Bake muffins at 400° for 15 to 18 minutes. Batter will keep in refrigerator indefinitely.
