Ingredients

  • 4 qt. yellow squash, sliced
  • 4 large onions, sliced
  • 3 red sweet peppers, sliced lengthwise
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Heat the mixture to boiling, but do not boil.
  2. Put the hot mixture into cleaned jars while still hot.
  3. Optionally, use cucumbers instead of squash for variation.
  4. Allow the jars to cool and seal before storing.
