Ingredients

  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup toasted bread crumbs, rolled fine
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients well and refrigerate for 30 minutes to make the mixture easier to handle.
  2. Make into small balls and refrigerate before using.
  3. Can also freeze the dumplings for later use.
  4. Add the dumplings to chicken broth and cook until heated through before serving.
