Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 lb ground meat
  • 2 tomatoes peeled and chopped
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 or 3 cloves garlic (optional)
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 small jar mushrooms
  • soy sauce to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Salt lightly the ground meat, as soy sauce is salty.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the margarine over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  4. Add the ground meat and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in the peeled and chopped tomatoes, bell pepper, and mushrooms.
  6. Add soy sauce to taste and cook for another 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Shred 1/2 head of lettuce and set aside.
  8. Serve the beef mixture over cooked rice and top with shredded lettuce.
