Ingredients

  • 1 round steak, cut in 2-inch strips
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 white onions, sliced 1/4-inch thick
  • oil

Instructions

  1. Blend flour with garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, and pepper.
  2. Dip steak strips in the blended egg mixture, then coat in the flour and spice mixture again.
  3. Lightly brown the coated steak strips in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Place the browned steak strips in a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  5. In the remaining oil, cook sliced onions until they are clear and caramelized.
  6. Spread the cooked onions over the steak in the baking pan.
  7. Add 1/2 cup water to the pan.
  8. Tightly seal the pan with aluminum foil.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 2 hours without uncovering.
