Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Jimmy Dean sausage, ground
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 3/4 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 pieces bread, crust removed and cubed

Instructions

  1. Mix eggs, milk, salt, and seasonings with a fork or whisk.
  2. Brown the sausage, drain, and let it cool.
  3. Mix the bread cubes into the egg mixture to soften.
  4. Add the cooked sausage and shredded cheese to the mixture and stir well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes until set and golden.
  7. Prepare the dish the night before, refrigerate, and bake when ready to serve.
