Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix with pudding in mix
  • 3/4 c. corn oil
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. butter extract
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a Bundt pan with Crisco and sprinkle ground nuts inside, avoiding the edges.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix with pudding, corn oil, and water. Mix well.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  4. Beat on high speed for 6 to 8 minutes.
  5. Near the end of beating, add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1 teaspoon butter extract.
  6. Layer batter and ground nut mixture in the prepared pan three times, starting with the batter and ending with batter on top.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool on a rack for 8 minutes.
  9. Remove the cake from the pan while still warm and brush with glaze using a pastry brush, applying all the glaze evenly.
