Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 c. corn meal
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. honey

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9-inch pan.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown.
  5. Check doneness with a toothpick; when it comes out clean, the cornbread is ready.
