Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 lb. ground sausage
  • 3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 quart milk
  • 10 to 12 slices bread
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Fry and drain bacon and/or sausage, if desired.
  2. Butter a lasagna pan.
  3. Cube the bread and place half on the bottom of the pan.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  5. Crumble the cooked bacon and sausage and sprinkle on top.
  6. Add the remaining bread cubes, then the rest of the cheese on top.
  7. Beat eggs, milk, salt, pepper, dry mustard, and Worcestershire sauce together and pour over the layered ingredients.
  8. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
  9. The next morning, bake at 325°F for 1 to 1.5 hours until golden and set.
